I) Wood-fibre boards

UdiUNGER-DIFFUTHERM ®NF (A 1 – A 4)

The patented, wood-fibre sandwich-layer insulation
board. The basic element for all UdiInsulation
systems
- for interior and exterior use.
Suitable for direct plaster/render application on
both sides. Tongue and groove joints on all edges.
Format:130 x 79 cm; 250 x 125 cm

UdiUNGER-DIFFUTHERM ®L (A 5 / A 6)

II) UdiBASE Plinth Slurry

UdiBASE® Plinth Slurry (B 1)
For use as a structural sealant in the building’s
plinth and cellar areas against rising damp,
ground water and seepage in interior and
exterior areas. Simply mix and then brush into
the foundation/substrate.

UdiBASE® Fine Mosaic Render (B 10)
Ready to use, decorative, fine render with high-quality
natural stone granules - in a range of beautiful colours.
Due to its high resilience, it can be used in exterior
areas as a plinth coating and also in stairwells as a
decorative plaster.

UdiFOUNDATION COAT (E 1)
Used to bed-in UdiREINFORCEMENT components.
May be used as a filler and also on monolithic
foundations. The instructions for usage should
be followed.

UdiBASE® Mosaic Render Primer (B 5 /B 6)
Applied using a roller across the whole surface of
the Udi FOUNDATION COAT. Serves as a primer coat
and bonding agent and ensures the uniform drying
of the Udi Fine Mosaic Render.

III) UdiMultigrund FOR INTERIOR WALL INSULATION

UdiMULTIGRUND® (M 6)
Is a specially developed insulation board coating
system for condensation-free interior insulation
with UdiUNGER-DIFFUTHERM Wood-Fibre Insulation
Boards. UdiMULTIGRUND
functions as a vapour
retarder on the internal face of the insulation and
restricts the level of moisture within the insulation
layers. It also regulates any moisture contained
within the insulation boards upon installation. It is
suitable for insulation thicknesses of up to 200 mm
as well as for very thick walls, without the need
for an additional moisture analysis calculation.
Only UdiMULTIGRUND as the decisive internal
water vapour retarding component of the
UdiIN SYSTEM guarantees the long-lasting quality
of the insulation system.

Product Characteristics

> Highly adhesive

> Vapour pressure stabilising

> Regulates condensation

> Very good covering power

> Render-bearer for UdiPERL

> Structured Fine Renders and UdiLOAM Structured Fine Renders

Delivery form

> Paper sacks: Delivered on palettes; weather-resistant wrapping (not waterproof)

Handling/usage information

> UdiMULTIGRUND® should be mixed with 4 - 5 l of clean, cold water and worked to a stiff,
lump-free consistency. UdiMULTIGRUND® should be applied to the whole surface using a stainless
steel trowel with 12mm teeth. A minimum coating thickness of 6mm is required, in order that the
functionality of the vapour retarder is not impaired! The UdiREINFORCEMENT Strengthening Mesh
should be bedded into the upper third of the coating nearest the surface and smoothed with a
stainless steel trowel. After an initial drying period the surface of the UdiMULTIGRUND® can be
smoothed using a rubber-coated or felt-coated trowel.

Attention! The surface must be dry and free of rising damp or moisture. A water vapour diffusion assessment is required if the interior wall insulation is applied directly to masonry or natural stone walls.

IV) UdiASSEMBLY FIXINGS Masonry

UdiASSEMBLY Expanding Fixing
For a pre-bored 8 mm hole.
Simply hammer in.

UdiASSEMBLY Screw Fixing (C 29 – C 38)
For concrete, solid and perforated
building materials and porous concrete.
For a pre-bored 8 mm hole. Screw in using
a UdiASSEMBLY Bit 30.

UdiASSEMBLY Screw Fixing SPECIAL
(C 40 –C 49)

For use with very difficult substrates (loam, concrete, solid and perforated building materials) For a pre-bored 8 mm hole. Screw in using a UdiASSEMBLY Bit Special 40 (C 50).

Only the exclusive use of these special high-quality and technically approved fixing materials guarantees the long-term
structural stability of the system
.

Exterior wall: 9 Pcs/m2
Interior wall: 6 Pcs/m2

Why a certain number of fixings per square metre are necessary.

Due to the fact that the insulation system is in itself very heavy, it is necessary that a permanent pressure is uniformly applied across the insulation boards. This is achieved using fixings with a large disc-shaped head. Hygrothermal influences such as temperature changes and moisture from diffusion lead to fluctuations in the expansion or contraction of materials. Additional loading pressures caused by storm winds also add to the weight that must be secured. The required level of contact between the building’s surface and the insulation can only be permanently guaranteed by using the prescribed number of fixings. This results in the longest possible lifespan of the system. Are you absolutely certain how it looks behind the old render/plaster? A large proportion of the existing housing stock was built using a mixture of masonry materials and timber. Environmental influences and emissions over a period of many years may also have reduced the load bearing capacity of these walls. In Germany we offer a special on-site, pull-out test service (fixing extraction) with competent advice on the selection of the appropriate fixing. Using our decades of experience and know-how, we have compiled tables of values which correspond to the type of foundation/substrate material(s). Due to a large number of circumstances and variables, especially in older buildings, these values may still however vary from the real situation. We therefore recommend that before commencement of the installation that a test drilling or a pull-out test be undertaken in order to identify the characteristics of the foundation/substrate material. Please check with us whether our qualified advisors will be available to help you in your region too.
